13 – 15 years: Decision-making and responsibility
1. Imagine that your friend forgot about an important school project and asks you for help at the last minute. How would you react?
I will offer him help, but only as much as I can manage without neglecting my own responsibilities.
I will help him completely, even if I don't manage my own tasks because of it.
I will advise him on how to prepare as quickly as possible, but he should resolve it on his own.
I will tell him that he has to face the consequences of his forgetfulness and I won't get involved.
I will let him make his own decision and I will respect his approach.
2. Your parents ask you to take care of something, but you are in the middle of an exciting online tournament. What will you do?
I will finish the game and take care of it right away; responsibility is important to me.
I'll wait for the tournament to finish, and then I'll take a look at it.
I would like to ask someone else to take care of it instead of me.
I'll try to solve it all at once – play and complete the task, even if I might not do either properly.
I'll say that I can't help right now, but I'll assist later if it's still relevant.
3. At school, you notice that someone secretly copied homework from a classmate. How do you respond?
I will tell the teacher, cheating is not fair.
I will talk to that classmate and explain to him that it is not right.
I'll leave it as it is, it's not my business.
If the teacher asked me, I would tell the truth, but I wouldn't announce anything on my own.
I will encourage my classmate to prepare by himself next time, but I won’t judge him.
4. You received a job offer for a part-time position, but it’s something that doesn’t interest you. How will you decide?
I will accept her because it is important to have experience and to be responsible.
I will decline, I would rather wait for something that interests me more.
I'll say to myself that I'll give it a try, but if I don't like it, I'll quit.
I will find out if there might be another task within that job that would suit me better.
I will take it as a challenge and look for something positive in it.
5. You find yourself in a situation where you could gain an advantage by breaking the rules, but no one would find out. What will you do?
I will act honestly because I would feel bad about myself.
I will do it if it's something small and it won't hurt anyone.
I will consider the risks, and if they are low, I would probably give it a try.
I would rather ask someone I trust how I should proceed.
It depends on the situation; sometimes it's right to be flexible.
6. A group of your friends decided to do something that doesn't seem right to you. How will you react?
I will tell them what I think about it, and if they don't listen to me, I won't get involved.
I will participate to avoid standing out, but I will not actively support their idea.
I will try to convince them not to do it, but I won't force them.
I will back down, even though I don't like it, because I don't want to lose my friends.
I will leave and rather not associate with it.
7. The teacher accidentally assigned you a better grade than you deserved. What will you do?
I will inform the teacher and ask for a correction.
I'll leave it as it is, after all, it was his mistake.
If someone asks me, I will tell the truth, but I won't deal with it myself.
I will say that life is not always fair, and I will accept it as luck.
I will consider whether it is really worth dealing with it, and I will decide accordingly.
You have the option to decide where the class will go on a trip, but you know that not everyone will like your choice. How will you decide?
I will choose what I think is best for the majority.
I will vote and respect the outcome, even if I don't like it.
I will choose what I want when I have the opportunity to decide.
I will try to find a compromise between the various proposals.
I will suggest several options and let others choose.
9. Your parents gave you a choice between two activities, but you don't really like either of them. How do you decide?
I will choose the one that bothers me the least.
I will try to negotiate a third option that would suit me better.
I will postpone the decision and hope that it resolves itself.
I'll let my parents choose for me.
I will come up with a way to make one of the options more interesting.
10. You receive an offer to lead a team in a school project, but you know it will be a big responsibility. How do you react?
I accept it because I want to try something new and learn how to lead a team.
I decline because I do not feel ready for such great responsibility.
I will accept it, but I will delegate tasks so that I am not under pressure.
First, I will find out what the responsibilities will be, and only then will I decide.
I will suggest someone else who would be more suitable for this.
