Stress management
Imagine that you have an important exam or presentation ahead of you. What would you likely think first?
This is a challenge that I will prepare for as best as I can.
If it goes wrong, nothing terrible will happen, there is always another way.
I feel the pressure, but I know I can handle it in my own way.
I am afraid I won't be good enough, but I will try to ignore it.
I prefer not to think about it right now, I will deal with it later.
When you feel stressed, what activity helps you cope the best?
Sport or physical activity to relieve tension.
A conversation with someone who understands me.
Music, drawing, or another creative activity that calms me down.
Planning steps on what I can do to improve the situation.
Postponing a stressful situation until I am ready for it.
How do you react when someone around you is experiencing stress?
I am trying to help him and offer solutions.
I will encourage him to find a way to cope with it.
I want to cheer him up or distract his attention.
My own stress worsens if someone else feels bad.
I do not interfere, everyone has to manage on their own.
What is your relationship with rest and relaxation?
Relaxation activities are as important to me as my responsibilities.
I relax when the situation allows it, but I often feel guilty.
I rarely realize that I need a break until I am exhausted.
I plan my rest in advance to have a sense of control.
I prefer to take a break spontaneously when I feel like it.
If you had to represent your stress as an object or situation, what would it be?
A storm that comes quickly but eventually passes.
A heavy backpack that I carry on my shoulders.
A maze in which I must find the right way out.
A race in which I must maintain the pace.
A frozen lake where I am afraid the ice might break.
How do you feel when you're under pressure and don't have enough time to prepare?
I know that I need to act quickly and efficiently.
I will try to do my best within the possibilities.
I feel very uncomfortable, but I can handle it.
I often think about whether it could have been done differently, even after it's over.
I would prefer to completely avoid that situation.
How does your stress manifest on a physical level?
Tension in the muscles or headache.
Increased heart rate and a feeling of nervousness.
I need to eat more or sleep less.
My concentration is decreasing, and I am making more mistakes.
I feel nothing physically, but internally I know that I am under stress.
When you are under pressure, how does your decision-making process change?
I act quickly and intuitively, I don't have time to hesitate.
I try to be rational, but sometimes stress affects me.
I am checking several options to be sure.
I take longer to decide because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake.
I tend to procrastinate making decisions if possible.
What do you think about the statement: "Stress is useful because it motivates us"?
I agree, but only if it is to a reasonable extent.
For me, stress is more of a burden than a motivation.
In some situations it helps me, in others it paralyzes me.
It depends on whether I know how to handle it.
I do not agree, stress only drains my energy.
How would you like to better manage stress?
Learn to better plan and prevent stress.
Having more techniques for instant tension release.
Improve your ability to not be influenced by stress.
To be better at recognizing when I need a break.
To focus less on what I can't control.
