Managing changes
Imagine that a long-planned project is unexpectedly canceled. What is your first thought?
"Maybe it's a sign that I should try something different."
"Who is responsible for this? I need to address it."
"What if I missed an important opportunity?"
"If it didn't work out, I'll find another way."
"I don't feel well, I need to take time to process."
How do you feel when life puts you in an unexpected situation?
Curiously, it might take me in new directions.
Nervous, but I'm looking for a solution.
I have mixed feelings, and I don't always know what to do with them.
Angry, I don't like surprises.
Calm down, I know that everything will be resolved somehow.
If you had to describe a change as a natural phenomenon, what would you choose?
Storm – intense, yet purifying.
River – I adapt to the flow of events.
Forest fire – painful, but it makes room for the new.
The wind – sometimes it refreshes, other times it scatters everything.
Earthquake – sudden and destabilizing.
If you had to spontaneously change your job or city, what would influence you the most?
My goals and the opportunities that will arise from them.
My ability to quickly adapt.
My need for safety and security.
The influence on my relationship or family.
My inner feeling about whether this is right for me.
If you find out that you have to work on a completely different project tomorrow, how will you react?
"Awesome, I enjoy new challenges!"
"A little stress, but I'll manage it somehow."
"Why didn't anyone tell me that earlier?"
"I hope it won't jeopardize my plans."
"I will need more time to adapt."
How do you react to changes in your personal life, for example when your weekend plans unexpectedly change?
I will adapt, at least it will be interesting.
I need a moment to process, but then I will adapt.
It depends on how important that change is to me.
I'm sorry, but I accept it.
I am irritated, I don't like changes in plans.
How do you approach major life decisions?
I enjoy experimenting and trying new paths.
I am considering all options, but I am trying to act decisively.
I am waiting until I am sure of the right direction.
I stick to what I know and what works.
Uncertainty paralyzes me, making decision-making difficult for me.
Imagine that something in your life is changing, but you have no control over it. How do you cope with that?
I will find a way to see an opportunity in that.
I will focus on what I can influence.
I feel unsure, but I will accept it over time.
It bothers me, I need to get used to it.
It's difficult for me, I've been coping with it for a long time.
If you could choose one word that best describes you in handling changes, what would it be?
Courage.
Flexibility.
Prudence.
Nostalgia.
Stress.
How would you like others to speak about you when it comes to your ability to handle change?
"He/She always sees new opportunities."
"He can adapt quickly."
"He knows how to think things through before acting."
"It is hard to come to terms with changes, but in the end, it will manage."
"Changes stress him/her very much."
