Setting a Growth Mindset
Imagine that you are facing a new challenge that is outside your comfort zone. What is the first thing that comes to your mind?
The excitement of the possibility of learning something new, even if it will be challenging.
Fear that I will fail and others will notice it.
I am thinking about how to break down the steps so that I can manage it gradually.
I am looking for ways to avoid it or delegate it to someone else.
I remember similar situations from the past where I surprised myself.
How do you react when someone around you achieves something exceptional?
I feel inspired and I am looking for ways to improve myself as well.
I start comparing my abilities and I ask myself why I am not as successful.
I enjoy learning from people who are better than me at something.
I feel a slight envy, but I try not to say it out loud.
I acknowledge their success, but I am not interested in it deeply because it is not important to me.
When you make a mistake, what do you think about it?
Mistakes are an opportunity for learning and growth.
It is proof that I am weak in something.
I am trying to analyze what happened and how to avoid it next time.
I’d rather quickly forget about it and move on.
If possible, I am trying to shift the responsibility onto external circumstances.
How do you approach learning new skills?
With enthusiasm, because I believe that abilities can be developed.
I feel the pressure to be good right away, otherwise it doesn't make sense.
First, I check if I have the necessary prerequisites, and only then do I make a decision.
I avoid learning unless it is absolutely necessary.
I'm looking for shortcuts to learn it with minimal effort.
When someone gives you constructive criticism, how do you respond?
I appreciate feedback and I try to use it to improve.
I take it personally and feel uncomfortable.
At first, I resist, but later I think about it.
I listen, but I rarely follow it.
I ignore it because I think people don't understand my situation.
How do you feel when you have to deal with something that is difficult for you?
I take it as a challenge and try different approaches.
I am frustrated and want to give up quickly.
I'm looking for help or resources that could assist me.
I'm trying to avoid it or putting it off for later.
I make sure that others also make mistakes so I don't feel worse.
What thoughts come to your mind when you think about your past failures?
These are important lessons that have moved me forward.
They are proof that I am not good enough.
I am trying to find patterns and learn from them.
I'd rather not think about them, because it would depress me.
I blame circumstances or other people for my failure.
When you see someone who is naturally talented, what do you think about it?
I can also improve if I train enough.
Some people are simply born with talent, I am not one of them.
I am interested in how they got to that and whether it can be learned.
I envy those people because everything comes easier to them.
I assume they had better conditions or luck.
How do you react to failure in achieving your goals?
I am analyzing what I can do differently next time.
I feel demotivated and I wonder if it even makes sense.
I am trying to find a new approach or strategy.
I start to doubt myself and my abilities.
I'm looking for something different that I would be better at.
What is more important for you in achieving goals?
Perseverance and learning from one's own mistakes.
The ability to show others that I am successful.
Support and advice from experienced people.
Avoid failures so that I don't feel incompetent.
Achieve the result as quickly as possible with minimal effort.
