Vacation without emails: A truly bold step?
Imagine that your vacation starts tomorrow and you lose access to the internet. What comes to your mind first?
Freedom. Finally, silence.
Stress. What if something goes wrong?
Curiosity. How will my daily rhythm change?
Panic. I’m quickly looking for a solution.
Finally, a chance for a real reset.
If you had a completely empty day without plans on vacation, what would you do first?
I would think about what attracts me the most today.
I would write at least a rough schedule.
I would let myself be guided by my feelings.
I would start to get bored and look for an impulse.
I would create a ritual – morning coffee, a walk, writing down thoughts.
You close your laptop, put away your phone. What is the first image that comes to your mind?
A wide beach and the sound of the sea.
Missed call and blinking notification panel.
Hands in pockets, gaze into the distance.
Awkward silence.
Relief, as if something has fallen off the shoulders.
You are facing a decision – 7 days without contact with work. What inner voices do you hear?
"You deserve it. The world won't fall apart."
"Just check one more thing."
"It will be an experiment, we'll see."
"If you can handle it, you are a better person."
"What if someone needs your help?"
While wandering the city, you come across a small gallery. What will you do?
You enter without hesitation – you are curious about what it hides.
You will bypass her – it's better to stick to the original plan.
You stop, look at the bulletin board, and hesitate.
You can only enter if someone is going with you.
You will take a picture of the display, maybe you will come back later.
Imagine that someone takes over your tasks in your absence. How do you feel?
I'm glad – at least I'll get a break.
I feel the need to keep track of how it’s going.
I am a little nervous, but at the same time curious.
I feel the pressure that I will have to catch up on what I missed when I return.
I sincerely believe that they can do it.
There is no wifi in the room. What will you do?
You perceive it as a gift – finally shutting down.
You are looking for other connection options.
Give it a chance – at least for a few hours.
It will make you angry, but you will adapt.
You will make use of the time for something you have been putting off for a long time.
Imagine that you receive a card with one sentence every day. Which one describes you the best?
"Sometimes the most happens when you do nothing."
"Without supervision, things fall apart."
"Uncertainty is a space for discovery."
"When you are unavailable, something important gets lost."
"The meaning often reveals itself only in silence."
Upon returning from vacation, you find 324 emails. How do you react?
With perspective - I will proceed according to priorities.
With anxiety – I start answering right away.
With a certain curiosity – what has happened new?
With a plan – I will divide it into parts.
Regrettably – I should have addressed it continuously.
On the beach, you observe people who keep checking their phones. What do you feel?
Understanding – I used to be the same.
Amusement – it's actually funny.
Anxiety - it reminds me of my responsibilities.
Relief – that I no longer belong there.
Curiosity – what keeps them there so much?
