DIY projects for a healthy mind and creative spirit
Imagine that you have a free Saturday and all the supplies for your favorite DIY project. What will you do first?
I will start planning and drawing how the result should look.
I will dive straight into work and let my feelings guide me.
First, I will tidy up around me and prepare the atmosphere.
I will call someone so we can do it together.
I'll wait to see if something "grabs" me. If not, I won't force myself into it.
When working on a project, something doesn't go as planned. How do you react?
I'll try to fix it or find a way to incorporate it.
I'm getting angry, but I will continue.
I stop and think about what this is supposed to teach me.
I will call for advice or I'm going for a walk.
I'll put it off. It probably wasn't meant to be right now.
What brings you the most joy in DIY crafting?
When I see something functional being born from chaos.
That I completely lost track of time.
From the moment something surprises or inspires me.
From the feeling that I have created something with my own hands.
From the reaction of others when they see it.
What material would you choose for spontaneous creation?
Wood – is natural and can be shaped.
Colors – so that I can express what I feel.
Paper and scissors – quick, playful, free.
Metal or tools – I love challenges.
Textile – it can be turned into something soft, personal.
How do you choose a project to work on?
It must appeal to me in some way or make sense to me.
I feel like something is "missing" from me, and I want to fill it through creation.
Randomly – whatever comes my way.
Always according to what fits into my space or life.
I'm looking for something where I can learn a new technique or overcome myself.
How do you feel when you complete something?
Relief – I managed it.
Joy – something has emerged from me.
Silence – as if something had fallen into place.
Enthusiasm – I would immediately dive into the next one.
I don't know – it always leaves a different trace in me.
Imagine you have a project that has been ongoing for a while. How do you approach the fact that it is taking longer?
I'm trying to break down the steps and stick to the plan.
I perceive it as part of the process – even slowness has its significance.
Sometimes I don't feel like it, but I always come back.
I need to remind myself why I am doing this.
I hesitate whether it still makes sense.
What role does silence or music play in your creation?
I need complete silence; that's when I perceive the most.
Music helps me switch to another world.
I like to listen to podcasts or interviews.
I switch according to my mood.
I don't perceive it – when I create, I am inside myself.
Who or what inspires you the most?
Old things with a story – I like giving them new meaning.
Nature - shapes, rhythms, unpredictability.
People who create from the depths, not for effect.
Children – their playfulness and freedom.
Dreams or visions that appear out of nowhere.
What would you like to convey or leave behind through your creation?
Practicality – something that serves and lasts.
The imprint of the soul – something authentic.
Inspiration – maybe it will motivate someone.
A question – for someone to ponder.
Peace - may it bring good energy.
