Circadian rhythm: How our internal clocks govern us
Imagine you have one free day just for yourself. How will you start the morning?
Without an alarm clock – I'll let my body decide.
I will wake up early, I need to have things under control.
Late and slow, I need to get in the mood.
It depends on how I slept. I can't always control it.
I don't know – I have trouble imagining a day without obligations.
At what time of day do you feel the most alive or most "yourself"?
When dawn breaks – I feel a fresh start.
Around lunchtime – everything speeds up and simplifies.
Late in the afternoon – I'm finally getting into the rhythm.
In the evening – that’s when I feel the greatest freedom.
It doesn't matter the time – it's about what awaits me.
How do you react when someone disrupts your established routine?
I'm trying to adapt, even though it disrupts my peace.
It will surprise me, but maybe it will bring something new.
It will upset me, I am very sensitive to rhythm.
It depends on who and why. Disruption is not always bad.
Most of the time, I don't even notice it - I operate spontaneously.
Your body is giving you a signal that it needs rest. How do you respond?
I ignore it, what matters more is to finish what I started.
I'll take a break – the body knows what it's doing.
I will start planning when to take a break – now is not the time.
I will feel guilty if I just take a break.
I will sleep without guilt - I am used to listening to myself.
Which of these images reminds you the most of your usual day?
A quiet morning with a cup of tea while the world sleeps.
Traffic in full swing, calendar full of colors.
Sunset, when everything finally becomes quiet.
Constant change, without a clear rhythm.
Wave – sometimes up, sometimes down, but with a certain regularity.
How would you describe your relationship with sleep?
It's essential – without quality sleep, I don't function.
I'm struggling with it - I know I should sleep more.
It is something that comes when everything is done.
Sleep is an escape and a remedy for me.
My sleep is chaotic – like life.
When you feel "out of rhythm," what do you do?
I will start observing myself – I am looking for the cause.
I ignore it – it will pass.
I will change something in my daily routine.
I will start blaming myself for it.
I will stop – I perceive what I need.
How would you describe your mornings during the workweek?
Fast and stressful – I can't get in the right mood.
Organized – I know what to expect.
Distracted – it depends on how I slept.
It's okay – I wake up early, I have time for myself.
Tired – I often still need to sleep.
Which of the following statements describes you the best?
My body knows when it's the right time to act.
I need a routine, otherwise I'll get lost.
I am productive when I have the space to improvise.
Inner peace defines my rhythm.
I struggle with how to align my body and responsibilities.
If you had the opportunity to customize your whole day according to yourself, what would be different?
I would wake up later and fall asleep naturally.
I should have more short breaks throughout the day.
I would change the work rhythm according to the phases of energy.
I wouldn't need an alarm clock, just the sun.
Probably nothing – I have it set up well already.
