Resilience to failure
Imagine that you have been trying for a long time to achieve a goal, but the result disappointed you. What will you do first?
I will stop and analyze where the mistake happened.
I will start looking for something new that might interest me.
I need time to process my emotions before I move on.
I am seeking support from my loved ones or a mentor.
I will start reminding myself why I embarked on this journey in the first place.
When you think of your biggest failure, what resonates with you the most?
The lesson I took from it.
The feeling that I was not adequately prepared.
Motivation to try again in a different way.
More of a frustration from wasted effort.
The desire to prove to myself that I can do it.
If you were to depict your failure as an image, what would it look like?
The stormy sea, but in the distance, a lighthouse can be seen.
Maze with multiple paths.
A tree that bends in the wind but does not break.
A crack in the ground, but with a sprouting plant.
A book with a blank page, ready for new chapters.
What do you tell yourself in your mind when something doesn't go well?
"Okay, this didn't work. What else can I try?"
"Maybe it's not my time yet, but I will succeed one day."
"Why does this keep happening to me?"
"I have to come to terms with it and move on."
"This is just one chapter, not the whole story."
How do you respond to criticism after a failure?
I'm trying to understand what I can improve.
I will consider whether the criticism is justified, and if so, I will learn from it.
It may hurt me for a moment, but it won't affect my further progress.
Most of the time, I tend to withdraw into myself and need time to process.
It takes me as a challenge to show that I can do it.
What motivates you the most to try something again after failure?
The belief that every failure brings me closer to success.
Support for the people who believe in me.
My own stubbornness and the desire to prove it to myself.
A new approach or idea that can change things.
Time that allows me to look at the situation from a distance.
If failure had a sound, what would it be like?
A quiet "click" of a door closing, while another one next to it is open.
A loud "bang" that shakes me for a moment.
A slow "squeaking" that makes me think.
A melody that breaks for a moment but continues on.
The sound of raindrops hitting the surface of the lake – small circles, but no disaster.
If someone told you, "You will never succeed," how would you respond?
"Maybe not now, but that doesn't mean I'll give up."
"That is just your opinion, but my story is not yet written."
"We will see what time will show."
"That's what you think. I think something different."
"What you think of me won't stop me."
What does the word "failure" mean to you?
An opportunity to learn something.
An inseparable part of success.
A temporary obstacle that I can overcome.
Test of my patience and perseverance.
Something that gives me a new direction.
Imagine that a year from now you look back on today's failure. How do you think you will view it?
As something that taught me an important lesson.
Like at the point where a new journey began.
Like something that hurt at that moment, but no longer matters.
As for the experience that strengthened me.
As for the next step that got me to where I am today.
