Trust grows through small agreements

Your actions need to match your promises

Trust grows when people speak honestly, keep agreements, and give timely notice when something changes. It doesn’t mean never making a mistake. What matters is whether you acknowledge it, take appropriate responsibility, and put things right where you can.

If you’re running late with materials, let people know before the deadline if possible. Say what’s done, what’s missing, and when you’ll next update them. Confidentiality matters too: don’t share personal information without consent. However, if there’s an immediate risk of harm, don’t promise absolute secrecy; seek appropriate help.

You know you won’t finish the agreed materials on time. What would best support trust?
